Life As a Future Nurse
About me:
Hello I am Olivia! I am 20 years old and I am currently studying to get my bachelors in kinesiology. If you didn't notice yet I want to be a nurse. When I was a freshman in college I was so scared to be a nursing student because of all the hardships I would have to overcome. But little did I know I could actually do this. I am really enjoying kinesiology, but my real goal in life is to become a nurse practitioner which requires more schooling than a registered nurse does. My plan after my bachelors is to go straight to nursing school.
This is my third year in school and I finally know what I want in life. I have known that nursing is my passion, but it feels different now. I want nursing to be my life and my future. I now know not be negative, but to be more positive about my path to nursing. If you put your mind to it, nursing school should be in your future. Everyone gets scared to pursue nursing because the competition and the the grade point average can be intimidating. I've learned to tell myself that if you work hard for what you want you can achieve almost anything. I may not be a nursing student now, but I will be one day.
Why Nursing?
Nursing is one of the most rewarding jobs there is. You are there to help save someone's life, be there for them and their family, and learn something new each day. I love how each day is different and you don't know what to fully expect. Nursing is my passion because I love interacting with people and the fact that I get to help people everyday gives me so much joy.
